Let’s Give Thanks for Their Service

Posted by joyinhome on November 22, 2010

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week and are thankful for our family, friends and blessings, let us also take time to “give thanks” to veterans that have sacrificed for this country.

The stories of women veterans are triumphant, heart-wrenching and heroic. Although the stories and faces of women veterans are diverse, their experiences share common themes that many of us can not begin to understand. Join Business and Professional Women’s Foundation us as we Walk a Mile in Their Shoes,” to support women veterans and their families during this holiday season and year-round.

The transition into civilian life from military service is a journey with unique and sometimes life-altering challenges. We are working to make strides and break down the remaining barriers that women veterans continue to face, both at home and in the workplace. Stepping into civilian shoes requires continued support. Please join us and “walk a mile in their shoes.”
